"If anyone was going to be able to coax a team of guys in period kit, on wooden skis, with 24 uncontrollable dogs and heavily laden sledges through the uncharted crevasses of East Greenland's Forel Range, it was going to be
Dave... "

Bruce Parry of the BBC Tribe series, a fellow former Royal Marine and a good friend, asked Dave to join his team for the re-enactment of the Scott/Amundsen Race to the Pole. The Expedition was arduous and was filmed for a six one hour series shown on BBC 2 in August 2006.
" Dave Pearce worked for PCI Fitch as a Mountain Guide and Camera Assistant on location filming the Army's attempt on the West Ridge of Everest from March to June 2006.
He was a key member of the team, a very solid hard working guy whose immense experience enabled the camera team to work efficiently and effectively together.
In addition to his extreme mountaineering skills and knowledge of film production, he also co-ordinated all the mountaineering and safety equipment needed for the shoot for all the crew. This included ropes, oxygen, tents and specialist high altitude clothing. His knowledge and advice was vitally important in making the project a success.
As well as guiding Dave was also helping with both the filming and interviewing the team members up the mountain.
He was a pleasure to work with, nothing was ever a problem and he brought a lot of knowledge, advice and support to the project."
